SharkNinja, in a company press release, said several of its products posted “robust retail sales growth” for the initial four-week 2020 holiday sales period through Black Friday.
“That extended throughout the remainder of the holiday season across all major categories, driven by our robot, upright, stick and hard-floor (vacuum cleaners) in Shark and our countertop ovens, grills and air fryers in Ninja,” said Shark Ninja President Mark Barrocas.
SharkNinja also released its first cookware offering to select retailers in the fourth quarter of 2020.
The company, in the press release, noted examples of increased sales of select products during the early holiday period:
• With demand for smart home technology and robotic vacuum technology increasing, the Shark IQ Self-Empty XL Robot was the amongst the highest performing Amazon SKUs during Black Friday, according to SharkNinja, citing an Amazon blog post from December.
• Ninja was the top performer within the electric grill category, making up nearly 68% of sales, SharkNinja reported, citing retail sales tracking by The NPD Group for the week ending November 28, 2020.
• Noting an increase in daily spot household cleaning, Shark said its corded and cordless vacuum categories surpassed its retail sales records for Q4, citing retail tracking of U.S. stick vac dollar sales by NPD from 2017-2020.
• Crediting the growing popularity of multi-functional appliances, the company said the Ninja Foodi Power Pitcher System was the number-one motorized blending and processing brand in the fourth quarter of 2020, citing NPD retail tracking of U.S. dollar sales in the category for the quarter.
